Time for another newsletter!
What have I been up to?
These past two weeks, all of my focus has been on writing. I’ve made it almost all the way through Chapter 8 of the current novel I’m working on, which is exciting.
My friend who is doing the cover art for this trilogy just finished the art for the first book and it is AWESOME! When the time is right, we’ll have a grand unveiling here.
I’ve also been agonizing over the titles for the three books in this series. I wanted there to be a theme/parallel between all three while also acknowledging the elemental magics featured in each book. With the assistance of a little brainstorming and thesaurus searching with another friend, I’ve finally pinned down my titles! (Book #3 was the one giving the most trouble.) Those, too, will be revealed in due time!
My ongoing trilogy
Last time, I revealed the six elemental regions in my fictional world as well as the romantic elemental pairings for each book, and I set a poll to see what sounded most of interest. A whole two of you replied 😂, but we got one vote for Light/Dark and one vote for All of Them! Many thanks to my two participants. 💜
So now, we shall turn our attention to the first book! This week, you get TWO reveals!
Reveal #1 — The title for Book #1 of the trilogy!
That’s right, our first book title already dropped! Can’t very well keep calling it “Book #1” forever, after all. So there you go, it’s Shimmering Shadows! What do you all think? I’m personally quite enamored with it (well duh, I wrote it!). 😁
Reveal #2 — The two main characters (and love interests!) for Shimmering Shadows!
And now for another poll:
What’s Remy been up to?
Being a little cutie. Got to go out onto the patio a few days ago in his carrier to get some fresh air and sunshine because it was unseasonably warm that day.
In other news
Personal life took a bit of a dive this week, and by a bit I actually mean a lot. I’ve got one of the worst situations I’ve ever had to face going on right now, so it’s looking like it’ll be the struggle bus for the foreseeable future. I would definitely appreciate you all sending some good vibes.
On a lighter side, I finished the two library Winter Reading Challenges I signed up for, and this morning I collected my two prizes: a new pink coffee mug, and a beanie with the library’s logo on it!

You write ‘em, I’ll read ‘em! And I’ll even throw in a response for good measure. 😁
Help me grow!
I appreciate all of you who’ve subscribed to this rambling newsletter of a barely there author! 💜 If you feel up to sharing me and my thoughts to the rest of the world (or the little corner of it that you inhabit), I’d sure appreciate that too.
